Evan Rachel Wood has been in movies with Ryan Gosling and George Clooney (Ides of March) and is a phenomenal singer but to be honest with you I actually didn’t really know who she was. That definitely changed. Evan did the press interviews and photos like the rest of the celebrities – we in the MAUIWatch area – were last in line. If I had to describe her demeanor and personality I would say that she is sweet and gentle. I know she has another edgier side to her personality (check out Chelsea Lately show interview)… don’t we all?! That actually makes me like her even more!
Before our interview someone had texted her the name of the designer of her dress. We checked it out together – Peggy Hartanto (in case you were wondering). I couldn’t tell what was keeping her dress up from far away! Love love love it!! When she got closer I could see it was flesh colored mesh type fabric… gorgeous.
I made ho’okupu (a gift) for Evan and she was so gracious in her acceptance of the present. Evan has a 10-month-old, her first, and took some time off from work to be a mommy. I can definitely respect that and instantly felt a connection to her – mommies unite!
