Jackson and I went surfing with Pénélope while she was here with us (she’s our French exchange student). It was a small day at “The Cove” – perfect for surfing with baby. It was just our third time out on my longboard together. For other surfer mamas out there – the water wings work WAY better than the infant life vest! The life vest will flap in your face and block your vision – kind of unsafe! The wings give baby freedom and mommy (or daddy) visibility while also giving you comfort that if baby should fall off for some reason, there’s an added level of protection.

 
What was super cool about this surf session is that Jackson started to spontaneously say “weeeeeeeee!” – it was ADORABLE – even after getting a face full of salt water! He would also clap after a good wave! lol So cute. He was very intrigued by the GoPro too and kept wiping the screen and pushing all of the buttons. ha ha! We caught 8 or 9 waves and he started to get cold and jump off of the board – time to go in! Can’t wait for the next session #surferbaby #lifesswell #thecove #gopro

Today was that next session! I just added footage (below) to the original video. Jackson went out with daddy today on the body board and had so much fun! Then mommy took him out for one wave on the longboard. Soooo much fun!! Only thing is I keep forgetting the water wings that have the floaty around the tummy – he loves putting it on and I like them better than the normal water wings.

These shark water wings are super cute and will do the trick nicely as well!
