My hubby and niece started yelping places to eat while we were at the Miss Hawaii pageant in June. At 10:30pm there are choices but definitely less choices than if you have dinner at a normal time! lol For this place, however, going at an odd time is a good thing. It’s tiny! Probably seats 25 people. From what I’ve read online, during lunch and dinner hours there is always a line. We got there around 11:00pm and there was no line, got in right under the wire!
The three of us sat right away and even had space (in that tiny room) for Jackson to wheel up beside us (he was asleep). We sat in the three empty chairs you see in this – my apologies – blurry photo of the premises. The mirror along the left makes this place look much bigger than it actually is. I thought it was cozy.
I ordered the mini combo with miso broth and thought it was wonderful. Reviewers rave about the oxtail ramen (which we didn’t try) but I felt like eating something simple and clean – this was perfect for me. It actually came with a mound of fried rice – it was okay, I wouldn’t say great – which my niece and husband gobbled up for me. It also came with gyoza which I thought was flavorful and felt fresh, like they just made it. It actually came with three gyoza but I’m always so hungry when the food arrives that I never remember to take a “before” picture! lol
The after picture is always a lot easier to capture. Yes, I finish my plate – mom taught me that.
If you end up trying this place out, I would recommend looking at the menu on the wall so that you can see photos of what you’re going to be eating. The prices were a little high but not out of the ordinary for Waikiki. Service was extremely fast and they offer kama’aina a 15% discount. Just make sure to let the waitress know when you sit down. In our case, she recognized that we were kama’aina and offered it to us as we sat down. Sweet!
Other things of note… CASH ONLY, they do also accept Yen.
You CANNOT make a reservation but you CAN take out.

I’ve been to comparable, cheaper ramen places in town but the convenience of this place when staying in Waikiki is key. When we stay in Waikiki, we will definitely eat here again. Pretty sure it will become a go-to place, especially for that late night craving since we can just order, walk over and pick it up
