Three years ago, I was thrilled to be a part of covering this world class event for Hawaii News Now. The Maui Film Festival is now in its 15th year. Barry and Stella Rivers founded the festival in 2000 to “share exceptional cinematic vision in  the service of compassionate and transformative storytelling with a diverse audience who call Maui both their home and their home away from home.” The Maui Film Festival has screened more than 550 films since its inception! Let’s be honest, we all love the films but if we could, we would go to every single one of the fabulous events that takes place as a part of the festivals festivities. IF, I had to pick just one – the “Taste of Chocolate” would take it every time! Here is the piece I did about the event back when I covered it for the news.
